Dear friends,
The year 2009 is almost at an end and we look back in gratitude to a very productive year for KIND.
We have received a lot of exposure through "Margriets Betere Wereld" where people were able to follow our blog for the whole year and which resulted in many donations.
This past year, KIND has paid the salaries of three extra teachers and a sports coach, started with the development of the school library and also donated 75 karate suits to HouMoed, where children go for karate training. The karate suits remains the property of the centre and children may only use it while training or during competitions.
A "swop shop" was also set up in Botriver's township where children exchange recycled glass and plastic for points with which they can "purchase" goods from the shop.

We have a new challenge: renovation of the school toilets. A very large donation received from GIJS HEUTINK ADVOCATEN in Amsterdam has made it possible for this project to come to fruition.
They are financing the finishing and set up of the library as well.

KIND will once again pay the salaries of the 3 teachers and sports coach in 2010.
Which brings us to another cause: the new school year starts in January and all the children in first grade must wear school uniforms. Unfortunately, most parents cannot afford these uniforms and KIND wants to help. For 75 Euros you can sponsor a complete uniform for one child. Donations can be made into ING rek no. 1939445 in the name of Stichting KIND te Rhoon.
